Black Beauty headlights installed, pics inside

I found it hard to decide on headlights back when I was searching because there wasn't too many pictures around, so I figured I'd post a few of mine I really liked how they turned out, huuuuge improvement over stock. For those not familiar, the black beauties have a black housing but a clear lens, so they give a smoked-like look without killing light output. These ones are from CJ Pony Parts. The first set I received was broken in several places and scratched, I shipped them back to CJ (who reimbursed me for return shipping) and they shipped me out a new set. It was a bit of a wait to get my lights, but the staff at CJ were very polite and helpful.

i just wish they would make the corners without that "white" outline where the lens seals against the housing. Goes against the "black beauty" laws of life

I agree...look good, but I think I would opening them up and painting the corners black where its silver

i was contemplating getting these lights as well.. i like em a lot better than most others ive seen.. but darn you nmcgrawj for pointing out that lil flaw.. now all i see is the seam around the corner light!! i dont want em anymore.. lol

I think those smoked amber corners on ebay would look really good next to those black headlights

Lol sorry man! I have had these myself on my black gt. And that seam just urked me to death. I love the idea....they just gotta fix that seam.

I would also change the amber bulb in the corners to clear.

That seam bugs me too, figured you perfectionists would pick it out I guess nothing's perfect, I was thinking of getting smoked corners but I think it would look funny up close having the lens of the corners smoked and the headlights clear. To the fella who commented about the bulbs, I've got a set of ebay bulbs on their way that have a chrome finish, but light up amber. These are the idea:

Interesting corners. I've seen a few guys do the amber fog light look on sn95forums....these might compliment that maybe...

for the price its worth the try Troy. i think it would depend on how dark they look. as long as its somewhat bright they would look good.

Does the black beautys have the black plastic inserts on the inside bottom of the housings?

Over the past 6-7 years I've had 2 different sets of smoked headlights and on both sets the chrome paint on the inside bottom starts to come off after about a year. I don't daily drive the car either.

Keep us posted on how those Black Beauty headlights hold up, especially the paint on the inside bottom of the housing.

You can see in this pic on the drivers side headlight the chrome inside coming off revealing the yellow plstic of the housing
