ok so i have a 88gt and im doing a black interior swap and the rear 1/4 panels i got are out of a 90 and where the seat belt bolts in near the 1/4 window does not match up i guess they changed them in 90. So what i was gonna do was just drill a hole in the 1/4 where i need to mount it and then try and find a plug for the other hole. Im just wondering what other people have done. i attached some pics so u can see what im talking about. thanks for any help!!!

Yeah you can plug it with some of the interior trim plugs, should be simple enough. Did you end up just buying all black pieces or are you painting some?

I just left the holes, they never bothered me. A friend found some 2" surface mounted tweeters and mounted them over the holes to cover them up.

I think they are called body grommets. They are like the ones in the floor pans of the car.

I did what you did and drilled new ones then used the grommets in the old holes
