If I had to guess, I would say one for the stock gage and one for a real gage. That's how I have mine, anyway.

I'm personally not a fan of those Ford Racing valve covers becuse they look too modern IMO. However, they look fine if lots of stuff under the hood is as well.

Mine are a bit older style.

I like the black valve covers as well. Here are mine w/some silver lettering.

Thanks, was just curious. I have two on mine as well, one goes to the autometer temp-gauge and the second is a thermostatic on/off switch for the electric fan.

In order to avoid the hijack...I have the Cobra valve covers for the retro look and will probably need to remove them for more rocker clearance. These black ones definitely look nice!

You had to tap those yourself right? I have the same air gap about to go on. Did you tap it all the way through? I still need to figure out how to mount stock and aftermarket temp gauges.

The black ones look fine, but have you seen the new 68-72 Power By Ford chrome ones from Virgina Classic Mustang?

I like the original yet different look myself. Of course they probably won't clear roller rockers, unless you use a spacer.

You can take you sensor to any machine sho and they will help you out. I just happen to have what I need to do it in the garage... pretty simple install...

At first I wasn't a fan, but after seeing em on a motor, I like em.

Ford is going to come out with the valve covers that you see on the new "Boss" motor, and I really really like those.

Yep! Those look just like mine. Spent all of today/tonight getting the motor ready. Dropping it in tommorrow morning. Ill snap some pics so you guys can see what the valve covers look like in my car.

You should paint the lettering ford blue! that would look good too. But ya those black covers are sick.
