Im sorry if Im butting in on your thread, but I really would like to do the same to my 86. I have the good ol' porno red interior with a nice silver exterior. I want to go with black and I was wondering what I exactly need to get in order to start doing this task. thanks!

Is it really a must that the front seats' material match the rear? Because you could always combine both ideas: OEM black seats for the rear, and late-model leather (or cloth) seats for the front. Just a thought.

Lookin' VERY nice so far! How many cans of paint have you gone through so far?

i dont know about dying the seats or carpet i think it would wear off on your colths

for prep i cleaned all panels with tuff stuff and then rubbing chool then a couple of light coats

make sure to make a thread when you start or just post it in here!!

ive thought about it with about 100 other options....for the front seats i would be looking at 300 or so then to have my rear recovered to match would be another 200 so there 500+....that mustangs and more still has the 91 coupe with black interior...maybe ill see if i can snag the seats from that...they were mint.

i thought about some grey tweed seats with black carpet to add contrast...that way i could do a insert on the door panels.

im gonna start looking for a 140MPH cluster around hilliard that i can buy..i want to do white face gauges...ive always been a fan of them.

not 500... just keep on lookin around. The rears can fit..i used them lol. got my set for 350
