BLINKING SES light after PLENUM+70mm TB install.

Dont know WHAT is going on as I never encountered something like this.

The car is a 2002 GT, FORGED D.S.S LOW COMPRESSION bottom end, VORTECH S/C(s trim), 42lb injectors, 255lph pump, 5 spd transmission. And a custom DYNO TUNED chip pre-Plenum+TB.

Just installed the C&L plenum and a FMS 70mm T/B and the SES light is blinking and the ODOMETER just showed DASHED lines like this -------------- .

I have HEARD this is SEVERE and is VERY bad.

Can anyone give me insite on this problem.

All diagnostic tools("handheld" PATHFINDER computer) did NOT show any problems besides a misfire that was fixed.


ALL vaccume lines are correct and all sensors are plugged, so this is ruled out.

A blinking ses light usually indicates the problem is bad enough to damage the catalytic converters. Do I read right, you weren't able to retreive the code?

We havent scanned the car after the previous code was fixed and cleared.

The only code was Cyl #1 Misfire... before the plenum + tb install.

I forgot to add the car has prochamber exhaust and no cats.

First thing, I'd do is remove TB and plenum. Then see if problem still exist.

The only time mine has ever blinked is after I did a whole bunch of dyno runs (14) and was changing everything around to see power gains. I unhooked my battery for a couple of minutes to reset my computer and the blinking went away. I hope your problem is this simple though you've got a lot done to your care. Good Luck.

I agree with Lance..Unplug the battery for 30 min and see if that clears it up

Problem goes away once the car is reset.

I am going to check if the TPS is out of range somehow, as the car has some slight hessitation in the 1500rpm range and sometimes higher.
