Too many of these responses are buloney, wrong, or due to an inablility to correctly recall details as reported by the thread starter. Please, get your facts straight. Many uninformed people read these threads and are unable to sort through all the B/S flying around.

No, I'm happy things went this way, could have been worse.
Pulled the motor today, and put a $350 deposit on my new block. I can pick it up next week. Got my bearings/gaskets/etc..from summit yesterday...
