I was wondering if it is necessary to use a block plate? It is the part that goes between the block and the bell housing. Summit racing says you need it to space the starter properly. Is this true? Also another question is if indeed I do need it summit sells one that is .060" thick. Now ebay sells one too. The person selling them says his are 1/16" thick. So is .060" and 1/16" the same thickness? If anyone has any insight on this topic it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
