i guess this is ok since i saw the kidney stones thread which im not looking forward to, anyway i smashed my right first fingernail today with a hammer at school(actually the carpentry class is building a wall and lots of drywall at a local police station), either way it sucks, i was gonna work on the mustang today but because of this crap i dont wanna, plus its raining..who knows a good way to get the blood out? im thinking a tiny drill bit and dremel..i just dont wanna drill into my finger, the other i've heard is a hot needle..its painful to tuoch but it needs to come out, i've been sitting home getting nothing done for the last few hours watching cheap **** and holding it in a cup of water..thanks

lol cheap ****.

ok when i smashed my finger. thanks to my dad all the blood came right out.

but i would just leave it along. drilling a hole in it is not going to make it fell better.

Sue the school for everything they have then make a claim that you're from country (name the country here) and that you're being oppressed by the district and faculty because of your belief system. The NAACP will get on board and your next stop will be your own private island somewhere in the Pacific.

Don't settle for anything less than 10 Mil.

It's ingenius!

lol, it was my mistake no matter how you put it, its a long story but it didnt involve a hammer, i lied. it was a screw that was 3/4 of the way in, and me cutting drywall towards it with a knife..the knife slipped and i smacked it a good one..i'm gonna do the hot needle i think..i want to leave it but i think i'll lose the nail if i dont get it out..plus it looks bad

I will answer this for you from experience. I have stubbed my toe so bad once on astroturf that our trainer had to do this to my nail on the sidelines.

Get a paperclip and heat it up nice and hot. Then put it against your nail. Now......this is important. It is not going to go through the first time. Just press it gently into your nail cause you do not want the hot paperclip going through into the nail bed.

Heat it up and press it into the nail. Repeat until you are finally through the nail. It will not hurt going through the nail if yoiu take your time to burn through it.

Once you are through, you can push all the blodd from out under the nail and the pain will be gone because there will be no more pressure.

The pressure is what is causing your pain right now.

Oh...by the way, that nail will be falling off in the future.

Lighter is all you need to use. It really only takes a few times and it will burn through. Trust me the relief after the blood comes out is great.

ouch..the nail got hot, but i did get a lot out, it helps to use a wet needle and poke it in the hole after you feel it burn through, and oh yeah thanks to all the guys that didnt post saying to go ahead and use a drill, haha

not necessarily true (that he will lose it). i actually had to have 3 holes drilled in my right big toe..my doctor (family friend, did it at like 11 at night) took a syringe and spun it back and forth to dig 3 small holes. eventually, i had to had the nail removed. why? because i kicked a damn pumpkin. thats right..i kicked a pumpkin, in the dark, on accident, with sandals on. i got a piece of pumpkin skin all the way back under the very back of my toe nail. that sucked..a lot.
