Just installed e-force on stock GT making 475 rwhp on auto at 11.50 psi... thinking of getting JBA's Shorty's and Magnaflow catted x-pipe...

Can't do long tubes...MD may be changing to CA emissions and don't want the hassle of having to switch back... or some State trooper crawling under my car because my car "sounded" too loud... I really want to stay emission legal for the exhaust (but not for the tune or the e-force tuner kit)

What can I hope to see going from stock manifolds and h-pipe?

I have searched the forums and most say the shorty's are NOT worth it, go LT...but that was for N/A.

Really would like before and after rwhp gains for a blower car.

thanks

Does anyone have before and after experience with this? I'm currently bolting on a Whipple HO and am curious myself.

The stock manifolds flow very well for cast iron logs, the port matching and runner merging are better than anything we've previously seen on a mustang. You normally only see turbo guys changing the manifolds, and those are normally for custom headers to fit a custom turbo system, more for the fit and finish of everything than for power.

I would guess that you'd see a few HP with those power numbers, considering the primaries are a bit larger, but nothing compared to LT's

Thanks for the info! That's kind of what I thought. I'd heard that shorty's didn't do much for N/A cars being that Ford did it pretty damned good to start out with, but I wasn't sure if there was anything there for the F/I crowd. Thanks again.
