I'm bored, and curious. Which would you guys rather have? A mach 1/99-01 Cobra 4v n/a setup (which you could of course mod up with bolt ons and such, but it has to stay N/A), or a bolt-on and blown 2v (8-9psi max for this comparison). I'm wondering because I am soon going to add 6psi to my motor
and I wonder how it's going to hang with other cars now, and then eventually stack up when it's done (by eventually I mean an end goal of 9 psi, cams, stg II heads, forged motor). I've driven a few Machs, and they felt stout, but by no means earth shattering. I think the overall package was what attracted me (I'm a sucker for a shaker), and they were all bone stock. Now my 04 GT already feels tons faster than my old 87 (300 rwhp/tq), and it will be my first FI car, so I'm wondering if I'm losing anything boosting this car rather than having bought a Mach (I'm kinda already stuck with this car no matter what, but entertain me).
And my limitations in this scenario are to represent that the extra money it would cost me to buy a Mach over a GT was spent on the blower for my GT. All other bolt ons, like suspension, shifter, exhaust, appearance mods, etc... are all a wash between the two cars, since the drivetrain, brakes, and some cosmetics are the only differences. I would not, for a long time, have the money to supercharge a Mach ( nor forge my motor, get cams and heads, etc... on the GT), so I'd be where I am at either way right now mods wise, but with a N/A Mach or my soon to be roots blown GT.
Am I better or worse off?

IMO, sell what you got and buy a more capable kit. And also, if you're going to run what you got, port the crap out of the manifold, blower, and plenum - gotta get some of those free HP if you wanna reach your goals
