Deffinately time to refresh that engine either your rings are worn or your valve guides are bad. Probably lost some compression on that side of the engine as well. You could do a compression check to find out how much if you wanted. should be between 150-165 psi.

How many miles on the motor? Ford does not use a very good valve stem seal from the factory. I would check the compression, if the compression checks out good. I would try a set of valve stem seals.

If it smokes on start up only, then valve stem seals and maybe valve guides. If it smokes on hard acceleration then its the piston rings. If it smokes on deceleration only, it could be a blown intake gasket (under intake ) or a pcv sucking oil from a valve cover with no baffle. If it smokes all of the time, then a rebuild is in order.
