Okay, the place I got my bumper painted has been "okay" to me in the past. Today I go to pickup my car and first thing I notice? He drilled the license plate into the ****ing bumper after I told him not to and watched him write it on the work order.

It doesn't look bad, but it's not what I wanted. I'm so fumed.

So I gave myself time to cool down, drove back to work and let it sink in. I hate it. I call him and tell him I need him to fix it. It shouldn't have been done. He tells me he knows but his guy did it just before he went to go remind him.

Then he proceeds to tell me that by law he's required to mount the plate. Ummm yea not believing that. You buy a cobra at the dealer and they don't mount the damn plate. It's on a ****ing BRACKET, you don't drill the ****ing holes into the bumper!!!!

So he tells me if I want it fixed I gotta pay for him to redo the whole bumper...wait WHAT?! YOU ****ed up and you're going to make ME pay for the bumper repair?!?!?!

I rarely get like this, but I'm f'ing pissed oooooooff...

Nothing really, I have a cobra bracket but haven't taken the time to put it on and don't feel like drilling more holes into my bumper

File a Better Business Bureau Complaint and when he comes begging for you to close it tell him; "I am not arguing with you." and then walk away.

KT i love you. I just don't know if I can open a complaint for "not illegally mounting my bumper cover"

Actually what happened can be better described as:

Failed to do work in the manner that was agreed to.
Performed work not agreed to and without customer approval.

I seriously doubt there is a law about mounting plates and even if there is I doubt it will come into play since the issue is unlikely to make it to court. Also, why would he agree to do it in the first place if it was illegal. That stuff he is saying is just CYA.

Also, please express your love to me via PMs is the future

lol. If I file a BBB complaint, is that going to be some big sort of a hassle? I don't need legal issues.

New Jersey has the ugliest plates ever. You would think the "Garden State "
would have some color or graphics.

Car looks sweet besides that front plate. . Seriously though, I would be ticked. If it was the "law" to put on the front plate, he should of told you before hand when you told him you did not want it on.

and that's exactly why i'm so mad. Oh well, I'll do my best to plug em up and then plug his mouth with my fist if I ever see him again...

I'll get more pics once I get the plate holes plugged and the radiator support painted flat black.
