bogs down @ high rpm

hey guys i need serious help please!!!! i have a 99 gt with 57000 miles 5spd it has a c&l plenum , accufab tb ,c&l intake tube with mass air , and slp cat back ... anyway here is my proplem .... for some reason when i give it alot of gas when it hits about 3500 rpms my car bogs down and sputters and sometimes almost wants to die the weird thing is if i undo the battery and hook it back up the proplem goes away for awhile ... i checked the fuel filter it is fine and there are no lights on .... please help.... thank you so much

When you mean sputters like loud poping noise? Could be numerous things. Could have a vacuum leak. Have you checked to see if it running lean or rich? That is what I could think of. something may be wrong with the main comp by when you say it goes away after you take the battery cable off like it resets it.

could also be your fuel pump going out. You can always check the pressure to see if it is up to spec although on newer 4.6's without the test valve it is harder to do. But this has happened before and a weak pump will not be able to deliver the volume you need at higher speeds.

I agree the fuel pump could also be the scource of the problem.

try switching out your mass air with your stock one. ive heard and upgraded mass air can make your car run rich.....and they are usually only for people with a supercharger application.

upgraded mass airs usually require a tune too - might sound a bit stupid, but when's the last time you changed your fuel filteR?
