bolt threads messed up on ball joint

I damaged some of the threads on the ball joint bolt that the spindal sits on in my 92 5.0 and was wondering if this bolt can be replaced or tapped to fix the threads. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

The ball joints themselves are pretty much throwaway items. Just replace them or change the whole controlarms to the new style -- might even be more cost effective.

Adam said just what i would have. new ones can be pressed in, or if you need new bushings too, the new arms (with joints and bushings) seems like a good deal to me.
