boost gauges

So my question is, is there a way to fix it or do I just have to get a new guage. If I have to get a new gauge should I go with an electrical gauge as opposed to a mechanical gauge. Has anyone else had this problem and what kind of gauges do you have? should i just go with a cheap gauge?

it's a mechanical gauge meaning it would not have "fixed" itself. It had been doing it for a while. Mechanical gauges do not have an auto-zero funtion like digital gauges do. When the car was started it would read 2in/hg less than it should and under boost it would read 2 pounds boost more than it should. The needle was falling off the pin and was spinning without it. It would have only gotten worse.

I think I'm gonna buy a cheapo gauge for the time being and then get a digital autometer when i can afford it.
