i just ordered my novi 2000 kit!! thanks to everyone for putting up with me with all the questions and the MANY times i changed my mind!! i'll let everyone know how the install goes and post up the numbers when i get everything together. has anyone done a write up on the Novi install yet?? if not i might be able to get some pics and attemp a write up for anyone who will be installing their own kit.

Novi install and vortech install should be roughly the same, and the instructions from Novi are pretty spot on Basically...remove junk...change some studs n junk on the timing cover, bolt blower to included bracket, route belt, bolt blower on Use some J-B Weld on the oil pan drain, silicone sucked for me because it wouldn't dry right with the slight ammount of oil left in the fitting.

it was $4385 delivered. i need an upper plenum within the next week, any suggestions? then just install and dyno. i'm really hoping for 380 rwhp. anyways the payments are only $190 a month. thats $100 less than my atv payment was so i'm not worried about the payments. i never found a sound clip of the novi, i want it LOUD!! where is the best place to get a tap for the oil pan?

i'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes, i'll have some videos up as soon as i get it installed. i wish i had your mods and i would be well over 400rwhp! once you get yours i'm sure you will have at least 50 hp more than i do.

Congrats! What APR% did they give you on your loan? I'm buying my blower last week of May...straight up cash.

I always find it better to SAVE instead of making payments. That's why I paid for my car in cash, straight up!

1) Pick any plenum you feel like. The differences will be negligible between them. Ive got a a trick flow, and it seemed to get me some decent gains.
2)Im running 6psi on a Novi 1000, trick flow plenum, and a mac o/r H, and i pulled 345hp and 350 lb ft.
3) The novi is pretty loud, it whistles at idle, and sounds like a jet between shifts, and on deceleration.
4) I thought the tap came with the kit, and you tap it into the center front of the oil pan...its probably the worst part of the install, but not too bad.

I heard a novi car at MPH....sounded SICK! Pretty loud blower wistle...strangly enough, you could hear the wistle durring the dyno pull. Im pretty sure it was a novi 2000, but ofcourse I cant be 100% sure. The idle wistle was the loudest I have ever heard...I have heard alot of vortec and procharger cars.....this one was alot louder.

the whistle is one of the only reasons that i went with the novi over the KB. i'm ready to get it on the car and running

the novi is oiled via the pan. Some people say they dont like tapping the pan, but i like the large recirculating supply of oil. On a cool night when you start the car up the novi will whine pretty loud.
