Boost vs timing?

I searched around, but couldnt find an answer. I am getting ready to finish putting together the motor in my signature and take it to the tuner. What should the timing be set at to get it driveable so i can get it tuned on the dyno? I will be running 6lbs of boost.
 
do you have something to retard the timing at all? To get it to the shop, set the timing at the stock 10* with the spout out. Leave the spout out and NEVER get into the boost. That should keep you in a safe range to get it there.
 
as long as you dont go into the boost what your running now is fine. although the tuner will set it back to a base of 10 so you might as well do that. just stay out of the boost and youll have no problems. i drive 90mph on the freeway and i never have to get into boost to get there......unless i want to get there faster:nice:
 
Its about 200 miles, but i have been driving it for the last few months staying out of the boost because of blowby issues, waiting to get the money together for the new motor, so that shouldnt be tough, i will probably get it running good enough to get it on a trailer and tow it down.
