Not sure how serious I was with this one, but here's something to read to pass the time if you have some. I never was able to google an Autometer gauge disassembly page, so I took one apart.

good writeup but why would you want to take that apart.

Thanks Andy, now I KNOW for sure I don't want to remove the rings, I figued they would bend/break if it did

Reading over the page again I realized I wasn't really that clear. I have a fairly annoyingly sized smudge on the inside of the lens on my oil pressure gauge, and wanted to see how hard it would be to just get to the back of the lens to wipe it off.

Since the gauge on my ZJ wasn't used much anymore since I solved my oil pressure woes, I figured why not ruin that one to perhaps be able to fix the ones I care about (the ones in the stang.)
