I'm seeing this girl, we both like each other, we basically are going out but not "officially titled it". I'm out of high school but she's still in (stayed back a year long time ago) I never went to either of my proms, it's not my thing at all. Last thing I want to do is dress up and dance, fun fun ....I would rather be getting drunk honestly or just hang out. she's bugging the eff out of me, I don't know what the best way it would be to not go and not have her pissed at me about it She's the kind of girl where prom is a big thing and is a night to remember, I think I drank with some friends on the nights of my proms . What would you do if you were me? I want to suck it up and go but I just dread doing the whole thing.

If you REALLY have to go...then chug a few bruskies right before you go so it wont seem that bad, besides it'll loosen you up to dance with your girl...

I missed my junior and senior proms. If it weren't for it being so expensive I'd have gone.

Only reason I consider going was if I was gonna hook up with a chick. But since I didn't I got wasted before the prom was even over. Best 300 bucks or more I saved, cause it got me my 3.73s!

i never went to mine either, i went out with some buddies and seen some strippers and got wasted at the bar later (18 is the drinking age) it was a waaaay better night. the only way i would have gone is if i had a GF, cause its pretty much a guaranteed night to get laid

ahah.....Im not THAT desperate haha, no matter what I'm going with her to her best friend's house afterwards to do whatever. My birthday's in less than 2 days, this Monday so I know what I'm gonna ask from her. How can I NOT go but have her stop buggin me about it and not be a sad mofo?? It's alot harder than I thought.

prom is overrated nowadays, back in the when out parents had prom it was BETTER, or so i hear. seems like people actually had school spirit back then and proms and stuff was really nice.

i graduated highschool last year and i am glad i am out of there.

all i see now it a bunch of idiots running around, they go to football games. YELL and act like dumbasses. put on a fake face for the public to look cool and be accepted by their fellow dumbasses. go and get drunk and high afterwards and have a wreck and all that stuff and then ask "what did i ever do"

we had a alot of kids die in car accidents at school while we went there.

while two werent stupid and what happened to them shouldnt have happened, a bad accident for them both.

the rest of them were stupid. kids and people are like "they were so nice and didnt act bad" A LOAD OF BS, 80% of kids put on a mask at school and act like someone their not.

and while i wish they hadnt died at such a young age. what they were doing, driving fast and being stupid, they had it coming and should have expected it, they were bascially asking for it. its their own fault not some freak accident like everyone says

high school for me was the STUPIDEST part of my life. i never have seen so many idiots, its shame, people who had potential to be great people and make something of themselves throw it all away.

all i see now it kids with NO ambition, no plans to make something of themselves. no skills no talents all they can do it wear baggy pants and do drugs and act "cool"

they all take it on easy street, get a job dealing cards at a casino right out of high school. think they have it made then once house payments and a couple of kids come then they realize they messed up.

while there are a group of kids who do act proper and will accel at life but there are many more gets who get lost and end up unhappy with their life

back on topic prom is overrated.

and if you dont want to go the prom DONT GO! the worst mistake you can make is letting a girl tell you what to do. it you go then she will keep houding you over everything and try to control you, you think its bad now, if you start dating it will get even WORSE, end it now, it may seem good now but dont kid yourself.

I went to my Junior Prom but skipped out on my senior prom because finding a date was too much of a pain in the ass. I ended going to a prom a year after I was out of school and it was the biggest mistake I've ever made, dancing with her was like having a sheet of plywood rubbed on your cack and bawls. I didn't have a good time at all, it was weird being the kid "that graduated last year". MY date ended up gettin pissed at me and told me I could leave if I wanted to, so I did, and then she got pissed because I left HAHA. Crazy highschool bitches. Proms overrated, I probably sound like a loser but I never really hung out with kids from my highschool, always had older friends. I couldn't stand kids my age when i was in highschool.

I agree most kids don't know what the hell they want to do for the rest of their life....or even right now.

And about the girl controlling you and all that....I learned that from my last relationship...NOT going through that again although it was a good life lesson. I have a complete different outlook on everything now from her. Unless I get something I cant pass up I'm not going to prom.
