this winter is really starting to get old...

the Marauder dyno'd 365 horsepower and i forgot the torque number with an SCT chip and tune, K&N cold air, and exhaust, i'm absolutely in love with this car

and here's my old 2000 Ranger 4X4 stepside, i sold it to help buy the coupe :D it was a nice little truck while i had it

and the non FoMoCo cars:

my first car and my best friend's first car, 1972 Cutlass, 442 clone, with original turbo350 trans and 350cid, bored 60 over, mild edelbrock performer cam and intake, 650 cfm edelbrock carb, hooker super comp headers, 2.5 inch pipes to flowmaster super 40s dumped, mondello pullies, etc.
and his 1977 Trans Am, balanced and blueprinted Pontiac 400 out of a 70 GTO, the car sounded great and put down some good numbers

they both needed work (what 30+ year old DRIVEN car doesn't), but they were ours and we loved them, and we pounded the ground HARD with them while we had them, enjoy!

Just curious, why you don't have the Olds anymore?

The Olds had rust issues that I wasn't knowledgeable enough to handle properly at the time, it needed a trunk pan, driver's side floor patch, and pretty much a full interior restoration... in retrospect I should have kept it and just wrenched on it until it was the way I wanted it to be, but at the time it seemed like an extremely daunting task.

I miss the car a lot, selling it is the only real regret I have in my life thus far.

hey man throw up some good shots of the notch so i can nominate it for fotm

Thanks man, that's awesome and I'm honored that you think it's worthy. Unfortunately I dont have any really good shots of the car that would make people actually vote for it yet, and in a month or two it will have a new hood and wheels and be lowered and look like a completely different car. I think it would definitely be worthy then. :D Thanks again.

Chris :nice:

i wish i had an abandoned airstrip near me, your lucky. nice cars, love the marauder.

thanks dude! i don't know if anyone on here remembers when Grumman aerospace shut down, but that's what the old runway is, the police are all over it like white on rice though now

the marauder is one of my favorite cars, black on black leather, it combines comfort and power so well, the interior is absolutely beautiful, it's the 4.6L from a 2004 Mustang GT basically with 3.73s and flowmasters, love it

thats too bad, nobody will turn it into a strip for you guys? pretty much the perfect opportunity. i noticed you have NY plates, where in NY is that airfield?

i love the marauders i think they are so nasty. someday wouldnt mind having one for a dd/sleeper

the air strip is located in Riverhead/Calverton, on the eastern end of Long Island, i'm from the area as well

no one will turn it into a drag strip, it's been abandoned for years, half of it is now an industrial park, and there's a proposal for turning the rest of the (massive) area into an indoor ski mountain and resort... fortunately there's been strong public outrage at the idea, and i was one of the archaeologists who helped in the archaeological survey that was part of the environmental impact survey... there are a lot of rare/endangered species of animals that reside in the area now, so a lot of groups are trying to oppose development in hopes of protecting those species (birds, owls, salamanders, etc.)

probably more info than you wanted to know haha, but there you go :nice:
