Borla exhaust installed....Drone

Hey....
I installed some borla pro xs mufflers and new tails this weekend. I chopped off the ole flowjunker 2 chambers and threw them outside. Sick of that stupid drone.

Well........I cant tell much of a distance between the two mufflers.

To me they sound kinda the same. Still have that silly drone.

I DID notice that my tails are touching the upper control arms. Will this amplify the drone? I have read several posts where people said that borla proxs has little to no drone. And i was sick when i heard that drone.

Keep in mind, i am STILL using the original H pipe.

What do ya think?

your h-pipe with cats in it? if so i would say it is wierd you have drone. metal on metal sounds because of vibration could amplify sound. get it to fit better and take it for a spin.

Yep. My hpipe has cats in it. I am gonna get the pipes off upper control arms reguardless if it cures the drone. I am just HOPING that the drone is being amplified because of that. Man, i had to stop a the dealership today and i even asked if they could get the ORIGINAL mufflers for my car. And of corse, he couldnt.


My drone is just terrible. Can bad cats cause drone symptoms? Like maybe vibrating with the sound or something?

Man i studied this exhaust crap for a couple of months befor i purchased. Many members said and recommended a "straight thru" design to help cure or reduce drone. Most members that i read said...Bassani, Borla, Magnaflow and some said super turbos.

I just dont know what to do with this....

cat shouldn't cause droning. they will rattle when they are breaking down which will be followed by a lack of power but no drone.
