It's all in the tech who did it, honestly. When, and especially, installing a X/H pipe, mid-pipe period, it kinda needs to almost be stretched, hard to explain, but, ya cant just tighten and fasten each corner as you like, so, an experienced and good exhaust guy will get it perfect, whereas a jerk off will mess it up and have it off by as much as 3 full inches, and the websites for these companies(exhaust/parts etc etc...) even warn about it.
Mine is absolutely perfect, to within 1/8 of an inch. But I was a complete whore about it, I asked them to let me in the garage to watch(said I wanted to learn) and I observed and to make sure he did it right, I was constantly asking questions, that would, in a sense, keep his mind on, getting it how I want it, I kind of dictated what he was doing. However he was a very skilled individual, genius exhaust guy.
However, I've bottomed out a few times since having it on, about 4 months now, and so, my driver side tailpipe/tip, sits about a half of an inch lower than the passenger side. Of course nobody notices but me, but, it annoys me, so I'm going to get under and bend it back up, gently, correctly, without breaking a weld etc etc.
You will probably have to adjust the mid pipe, because, most kits, especially magnaflow, borla, mac, come perfect fit, you just have to follow the rules, once you get it up under the car, and loosely just hanging there, you gotta tighten it slowly, and not all at once per corner etc etc. Hope I made some sense to you, but I'm probably right. Plz don't take that as an egotistical comment, I just went through a lot of this crap back in my 5.0 days.
As much as people think of exhaust as just, simple, plain out, "exhaust", it's a bit more to it than that. It takes a bit of finess. If the tech doesn't care, it will look like crap every time. Some are so stupid, they actually touch your crome tips that come with it, with their greasy as hands, and as soon as you run the car, and it gets hot, it'll never come off, permanently ruined....
Be careful, ask questions. Even the best shops hire idiots, it's happened to me.
GL tho, peace.
