Borla( question about 98+ hangered exhaust)

I guess this questions go for all brands.
Iv eheard here and there that the 99+ exhaust and the 98gt/cobra exhaust are the same unit for alot of companies, with a different part number.
If this is the case I have always wanted Borla stinger exhaust with the newer tips not the standard kit they offered for 98's. If It will mount up im gonna buy it, but I need to reassure whoever is going to install it that its gonna fit.

The exhaust will fit. I had a Bassani exhaust kit for a 99 and newer on mine. I believe the stinger kit comes with the 4" tips. I do not know how that will look on a 98 Mustang that does not come with bumper cutouts for the exhaust. On the 98 you will see the exhaust flare from 2.5" to 4" from the side and behind the vehicle. Might look a little different.

That sucks, I dont really want a tip bigger than 3"(3.5" tops). Doesnt the Bassani only have 3 inch tips for its kits, o ris it 3.5".
