Been thinking about swapping my Borla catback for the side exit kit (like the Cobra R) and putting on a V6 rear bumper.

If anyone here has the kit...a couple of questions:

1) are the tips round or square? (pics would be sweet)
2) running a Bassani catted X...so I assume it's a straight forward bolt-up?
3) she sound good?

I've got this "modern hotrod" thing going...and that exhaust set-up would be killer.

Appreciate any feedback.

The BORLA set up is 'spensive! I ended up going with a SpinTech side exit kit. It was about 400$ cheaper.

I have the Borla Cobra R side exhaust. Got it on Ebay for $500 shipped. Then I found a guy with a V6 same color as my GT and traded him rear bumpers, hoods and decklids(so I could be wingless). Then he went and put dual exhaust on his V6. I would say that would be the best way to go if you can find a V6er willing to trade. As far as the Borla compared to others, Im not sure but I have been told countless times that I have the the best sounding mustang.

Thanks Nate...car looks sweet!

I'm on the Steeda sport springs too...any serious clearance issues with the pipes...or "just be cautious"?

Got my shop looking into the Steeda/Borla kit...couldn't find the kit listed on the Borla site.

Pic should be fixed by now.

Yes, they are 17x11 TT II's. As for the SpinTech's being stainless, I'm not sure. That wasn't a huge concern for me, not much snow/salt down here in the South(Tenn.)

I'm pleased with the kit, and I also got these because the DO WORK WITH SUB-CONNECTORS. Or at least my Kenny Brown Super Subs. It' still hits a few things like the gravel in my driveway, but nothing to harm it.

Hmmmm, price seems to have shot up a bit. Mine was 419+shipping when I ordered almost a year ago.

And if you like the "R" tips, you can get them there as well.

spintech looks ok but I personally like the real R tips and the sound of the borla better.

I can't tell the difference in sound from one muffler to the next. Sound wasn't a major concern for me either, just wish it was more quiet. I don't like loud cars.

Thanks for the help guys.

Stainless is a must for me...and I do have SFCs. But I've got a very talented shop who work on my car...so I'll be going over the mod with them...we'll work something out. Maybe remove the current SFCs...install the exhaust and custom fabricate some SFCs to work with the exhaust.

I've got a Bassani X/Borla cat-back on now, and I love the sound...so I'm leaning towards the Steeda/Borla kit. Those Spintech tips look really nice though...never seen them before...and I like having something that nobody else has.

This is for next year's mods...were ditching the T45 and dropping in a viper T56...so with the exhaust being pulled for the tranny, and the "hotrod" theme of the car...WTF...side exhaust should be there.

I've got plenty of time to ponder.

Thanks again.

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.
