Do i need to order those parts from ford or can i acquire them from the local autoparts store?

Ive read that a harness needs to be extended or something like that.

If anyone has any advice on the install please chime in!!!

thanks for the help!!!

NO!
All you need is the Boss intake,
2 ft of 3/8 fuel line (not for fuel, but for brake booster & purge valve)
some 3/8 hose clamps.
If you have a factory strut brace it wont fit. The brace for the 05-10 3V with optional plenum cover is the same used on the Boss 302. I got mine on ebay for $115. I think alot of the 6cyl braces will also work.
There is a detailed post out there of the install. I printed it up and avoided buying all those other parts Ford says you need.
The harnesses you just move around a little.
I dont know about using the factory cold air system, I already had the Steeda CAI, which I used on the Boss intake. Looks awsome!
You WILL also NEED a custom tune!
I got mine from Steeda. Since I already had the SCT tuner from Steeda, I had them email thier custom Boss tune to me.
You need to search other boss intake post. It was very helpful in making my decision and knowing what I needed.
Also in getting a good deal on the intake. Ive seen them go for $375. - $460.
In one of the post you will find out where to get it for $375.
I dont remember if the post was here or on Corral.
Try yourself first, if you cant find it, maybe I can search.
Good luck!
