I got the 'stang back today. I asked if I could come back later for the wet sanding in case I screw something up when putting the mechanicals back into the car. The paint job is okay, needs a few touchups but the biggest problem is that he forgot some dents and thanks to the extra glossy shine of his f---ked up clear/urethane mix thing and the 4 coats, EVERY little thing pops out as if highlighted.
I regret going with black now (should have stuck to sonic blue or silver) but other than that the car is pretty clean. Once the car runs on its own power, I will take it back to the paint shop to finish the wet sanding and to have some spots re-done. But sadly the dents are going to stay there
I complain a lot but the entire job cost me 2100$, everyone tells me it's cheap since he painted under the hood, hatch and everything. So I guess I will leave the 3 dents on the car, two on my door so it's easier to fix later on. The paint is real glossy though, there aren't many street cars like this IMO. I put some gravel guard on the car so I can continue to do some burnshows and drive like a nut without worrying too much.
It's going back to the paint shop this winter to get all the little holes welded up in the engine bay and repainted. Now I need to put the pistons back into the engine ASAP! lol
