Does anyone know where i can get a ram air hood for the 85? I been looking on lrs cjpony and cant find any. I know there out there because i seen them on google on some 4 eye cars.
They came on the 82 gt's

I'm not kidding when I say a car like yours would fetch 3000-3500 where I live. You can't buy anything like kinda deal. Nice score.

Haha yeah it was a great score. I been looking around for some good paint themes for it. Im leaning towards the green on the bullitt mustangs. Underhood will be left flatblack. I still have the motor trans and centerlines from that lx deal i did. So im probably gonna put it in the 85 but make it carbed. Ill post pics of the parts i have when i get to work later.

Smooth the engine compartment and paint it to match the car. You'll be happy that you did and your resale price will have gone up another grand.

People are easily turned off by flat black engine compartments on newer models.

I really believe that four or five years down the road, when you move onto the next project, a smoothed and painted compartment will net you a lot more cash.

The 82 GT was just a scoop, they can be found from time to time and were used on varying models from 79-82. I had one on my 79 with a 2.3 Turbo, and it had a sweet "TURBO" emblem on the side of it. I prefer my 85/86 GT's with their proper charcoal stripe on a 3" cowl hood.
