bought my frist mustang

i have whanted a mustang sence i was 15. now after 12 years of working on buddys stangs i have finaly got my own.
it's a 88 LX 5.0 with the t tops. its missing the tranny and the power stearing pump. but it has 4.10's gt-40 heads, a e-303 cam, and a elderbrook intake. i paid $500 for it.

i could not sleep last nite i was so excited.

i know thay are kinda rare (not shelby cobra rare but more scarce then most fox bodys) but how rare are thay. i've done some searchs and i have heared that 18,000 verts were made in 88 of thows 10-15% were t-tops.
---does any boddy know if this is accurate?

noone and I mean NOONE has an accurate guess at how many ttops were made, but very few in 88 so your lucky, tell me this is a coupe. If it is a coupe ppl, would literally pay 7x what you paid, GREAT DEAL!! Good luck with it!

'88 LX hatches with t-tops are pretty rare. Maybe a 1000 cars or so? Nobody really knows that's just a guess

Now '88 LX notchbacks with t-tops...that's probably ultra rare

Its amusing, my friend just got a mint TTop GT hatch. The first show he went too there were 8 mild mod fox GTs in his class, and 4 were TTop cars. They are rare, but not as rare as I thought.

What a great deal!!! As far as them being 'rare', you just dont see TT LX's ever. Its kinda like spotting big foot or a ufo. Good job...............

it's been a new mexico and az car it entire life. no rust out here
we don't have enuff water for that.

it is kinda ruff arount the edges a little beat up by the last owner
