I must admit im a spoiled 18 year old.

I have a 05 GT 5-Speed since last febuary. had a really bad trip and fall accident and won a nice sum of money and got a full ride to my college so i said screw it and bought the Mustang. I love it to the max and am obsessed with it.

Work really hard to pay it off and insurance kills, but had some extra money and got myself some new toys.

i have JLT with 93 DTP tune and SLP Axle Back.

for christmas i just bought myself the Hurst Short Throw Shifter and Pypes Off Road H Pipe.

Should be comin this week, anyone else have these parts? How is the install?

I had to have the Hurst for the classic old school look, the white ball is awsome.

A friend with a sick 5.0 will be helpin me out but I want to know what im looking at.

Thanks for all the help in advance
yeah, you need to get under the car.
we tested an o/r x on a car with the loudmouth and it sounded like a tractor.
Yep, it sounds aweful. I do not suggest cutting out your cats if you must have Loudmouth Mufflers. You'd be better off running no mufflers at all.

I really dont know much about the mechanics of adding bolt-ons and stuff, but I installed the Hurst shifter myself and it was really quite easy. Couple of tips to help you when you put it in:
When the factory shifter is removed and you are sliding the hurst shifter through the floor, make sure it is on the drivers side. It is a tight fit, and takes some shifting around to get it into place, but it goes in easier.
I do not really like the white ball hurst shifter knob, and didnt think about it until after I ordered it but if you want to keep the original shifter knob a kit will be needed. It will not screw into the hurst stick.
Make sure you have something to keep the bolts from vibrating loose. I tightened it well, but did not put thread locker on. They are already a little loose from the vibrations of the engine.

Moreover, it was an easy install, about an hour for me and all you need to do is lift it enough to get under the car. A very helpful install manual should be provided reference the 05/06 mustang.

Have fun once installed! I am sure you will enjoy it....
By the way if anyone knows what I will need to mount the factory shift knob please share that with us!!!! :-)

;)

We got the pipe on with a little wrestling and a few F words which is to be expected. The set up in my opinion is too obnoxious and too much noise. I told him he shoulda ran a flowmaster 2 chamber or a mac system. It sounds REALLY good inside but accelerating from a stop is too obnoxious. This is comming from someone with a loud car as I have 1 3/4" bbk longtube headers (with the collector dremeled open to 2.75") offroad h pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters and not to mention the 375-390 rwhp 11:1 347.
