Opinions... How will they look !

17x9 / 17x10.5 Deep Dish 03 Cobra's, 315/35
DR's Power coated black... Going from 15" to 17" and chrome to black.

Ready for a change... pick them up Wed. the 9th. then change studs etc.
Car now:

Like the Pro Stars in a staggered drag race configuration like you have. Can be boring look when not at the track. I'm a big fan of the 03 Cobra's, I had them on my car, chrome ones not deep dish rears. Don't know how well they will look with deep dish rears though.

295's out back.

I am not at all a fan of the black wheels, but I guess that just shows that I'm an old guy. They are apparently very popular these days, even though I don't for the life of me understand why. Of all the cars with black rims I see these days, 99% of them are on imports with fart can exhausts and stickers.

Of course pop, I'm not suggesting that yours is anything like an import with a fart can and stickers.

Actually old school is more my style... chrome wheels. Well see, think I am in them right so not to worried Even thought if I didn't like them get them coated in something different.

After looking at the pictures again, the rear has a shiny lip but the front rims are all black (no lip). Couldn't understand why the second picture of the FOX looked kinda weird. I don't know about the look now, its mismatched to me.

I love black rims than the chrome one but it always depends on the car color I have. but all in all, ill pick the black one over chrome!

Had the wrong lug nuts,,, plus the studs are to long.

Don't like the 4x4 look though.

Well if I leave the studs I can switch back and forth.... think I like that... when I sold my 17" wheels a couple years later I wanted them back... So I think I will keep the Pro stars a while..

Maybe chrome nuts instead of black??

Good decision. I feel that black wheels are too trendy.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

I keep two sets of wheels for my mustang anyway. A set of Pro Stars for the track, and a set of street wheels so I don't tear up my drag tires on the street.

is this for the cruise? i can't see them hooking better than a drag radial but would probably be better for inclement weather. i personally don't have a problem with either my old mickey's or nitto drags i have now in a 305/35-18 in the rain. just take it easy and its fine.

These would be trip tires... the hot rod tour, car shows where there is a chance of rain, another state, etc. I now run firestone indy 500 295 x 50 x 15's they are getting worn and hard.

I have M/T drag radials that hook pretty good, but are louse in the rain. 325 x 50 x 15's they do rub a little at the track... probably will go down a size in the future.
