I was wondering where to find a blow off valve for my Vortech SQ2(?) setup. Any ideas or recommendations. I want it for sound mostly - always wanted one.
You don't. Centrifugal superchargers use a bypass valve that recirculates the boosted air. Unless you somehow have found a way to put the MAF downstream of the supercharger, so it doesn't add fuel for the metered air, you'd go very rich every time you closed the throttle under boost.

It's called a blow-thru set-up, not to difficult to do. You need to have it set-up so the air is blown out before it's being metered by the maf. Plus, blowing it off into the atmosphere sounds awesome
Blow thru set-ups are cool! There is also a better/ cleaner MAF signal too. The BOV will make the car much louder though at idle and part throttle driving, because alot of air is just escaping the BOV. Sounds really cool, but expect it to be louder.
i ended up having to cut the spring to get it to open at idle. it's been 2 years since i bought it so i'm not really sure anymore. i do remember cutting a few coils to get it open at idle though!
