I am going to box my upper control arms with new rubber bushings on both ends and box my lowers with poly bushings when I put my new 8.8 rear in. I would like to hear from guys that have boxed thier lowers to find out how they got around the sway bar issue.

I would also like to weld up my torque boxes for extra strength while everything is out. I have searched and found a few threads that explain just welding all the seams on the outside but nothing that explains the welding from inside the car.

This is a street only 95 vert with an aode and mostly stock motor. Just looking for a little extra stiffness after I put my subframes in.

I boxed both uppper and lower.

There are two ways to retain the swaybar.

One is to cut slots in you boxing plates for the stock bracket to extend through.

The other is to just make some brackets and weld them to the new lower boxing plates. Thats the way I ended up doing it. Its worked well for 2 years now.
