I have a 1965 mustang and have come across a free set of Bembo 6 piston front brake calipers off of a new BMW 1series. I was wondering if there was anyway to get those to mount on the mustang?? is there special brakets i would be able to use? or is it each caliper is made for a certain vehicle and that is it? I would just hate to waste such good calipers. they only have 500 miles on them. Thank you for your help

sure you can use them but you'll have to have a bracket custom built for them to mount to your car and depending on the width of the Bimmer rotor you may also need to change the rotors to accomodate the calipers. is it a worthwhile swap? i'd say probably yes as long as you are willing to spend the money to make them work and also take into account how they will interact with the rest of your brake system, i'd say the rear brakes will most like need to be upgraded too not to mention the master cylinder, proportioning valve, etc. to be honest you really should upgrade to a larger rotor as well to take full advantage of those 6 piston Brembos.

you are also going to have to make your own brackets as well.
