Brake cleaner - engien bearings

I want to know if brake cleaner is harmful for engine bearings. Because i had my cam bearings installed before i grind the base of the cylinder walls to get my clearance for the stroker crank. So now there is some metal residues that i have not been able to get out and think about shooting some brake cleaner to wash. Thanks.
