automatic or manual difference in your power brake kit: I think it has to do with the Z-bar linkage used with manuals that the power kit has to get around? Not sure on this.

First off, I just purchased a '70 vert with four-wheel manual drums. I don't even have the car at home yet and I'm already making plans

First thing I want to do is improve the the braking system to 4-wheel discs. I see this topic discussed often, but when I'm doing my research, I've noticed a few things.

1. What's the difference between the 69 and 70 brakes? I see that stores sell different sets for these two years.

2. I also noticed that the description on some power conversion kits (mine has manual brakes) is whether the car is an automatic or manual tranny. What's it matter? I have an automatic now, but will eventually swap in a manual down the road. I don't want to have to re-buy parts.

Right now, I'm leaning towards putting on 13" Ford Racing Cobra Brakes with Mustang Steve's brackets. I'll be running 18" rims on it from my old 2000 GT. I'll post pictures when it gets here in a few days. FWIW, I'm familiar with late-model stangs...but not the classics. I'm learning about them as fast and as much as I can.
