Anyone who has done the Granada brake swap what did you do for hoses? I found hoses that work but they are not quite long enough. Doing some work this weekend and I found a couple of spots that had become chaffed. I was looking to possibly get braided lines, but was unsure about this. I don't know the application of the hoses I have now and I want a D.O.T approved hose. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tim

I went with the braided lines on mine. They work great but the first pair I got were way too short. The company (Precision Brakes) shipped me new ones the correct length for free so I feel good about recommending them. If you've changed the brake caliper from stock you should let them know when you order.

dmoody, are you using the GM calipers or the FORD ones ?

I used the GM ones from a mid to late 80's trans-am with hoses. they reach, but use metric fittings. I simply cut off the ends of my factory metal lines (ones on the frame ) and put on a metric fitting. been on there for quite some time now with no problems.

I'm using Wilwood calipers. I didn't have to change the fittings on my brake lines. If you order the braided lines they'll come with the correct fittings for the stock brake line.

I talked to a guy at Precision Brakes. 35$ each to go from the ford hard line to the GM Metric caliper 20" long. Not too bad. Yet something else to buy AGAIN. What a $ pit I've got......

dmoody,

Thanks a lot! I talked to a Doug at Precision Brakes. Got two new braded lines coming, 35$ each. Nice as hell to deal with. Got me exactly what I needed. It was funny he asked what suspension I had, and what type caliper and the hard line size and then what type or car it was in. He was shocked to hear it was still in a Mustang II! He was like, "wow I don't get to many calls for those.". Great bunch of people, and so far great service. We'll see when the lines get here.

Thanks again,

Tim
