so when i slow down normaly no problem but when i come to a quick stop or push hard on the brakes when at a light it almost feels like its kicking me back

so when i slam on the brake pedal it goes down and the it kinda pushes back on the pedal once, but no light.

the light only comes on if im moving and use the brakes to slow down quickly

im pretty sure i have to replace something but dont know what, car has 130K

Prolly low on brake fluid. If not then the sensor is going bad on the masters tank. Doubtfull though, low fluid is more then likely it.

Almost guaranteed to be low fluid. Mine did this right after I bought it and it was low on fluid. Filled her up and hasn't come on since.

+2 on low on fluid. There is a float in the master cylinder. When braking hard, the fluid shifts causing the low fluid warning light to come on.

Even if full, if the braking is HARD enough, the brake low fluid warning light may come on.

Sometimes we men can suffer a bit from estrogen poisoning.

btw youre never supposed to top off brake fluid. low brake fluid on a vehicle with disc brakes generally indicates the caliper pistons are extended so you most likely have pads that are thinning out or else under spec rotors.

As the rotors and pads get worn the fluid level drops.

It could also mean you have a leak.

Inspect the brakes first.
