yeah, that apparently was just a coincidence before... because by today it was doing it in either a forward gear or reverse... which confused us even more... but now makes sense...HISSIN50 said:So how was the dynamic of it only happening while you move forward related?

the sparking would happen when the clutch pedal was close to, but not at, the top... it seemed to take about 3-4 sparks before the fuse popped... so i think it never seemed to occur in reverse, because the first and second passes would be in reverse to get out of the driveway... then, the rest would be in a forward gear... so, our testing method was skewing the results to some degree...
i'm just glad its done... we worked on it for hours... and i'm sick as a dog...
anyway, if anyone experiences an odd fuse blow out due to the clutch assembly eating through the insulation of a wire to ground it out, hopefully this silly thread helps them save a lot of time...
