yeah, that apparently was just a coincidence before... because by today it was doing it in either a forward gear or reverse... which confused us even more... but now makes sense...HISSIN50 said:
the sparking would happen when the clutch pedal was close to, but not at, the top... it seemed to take about 3-4 sparks before the fuse popped... so i think it never seemed to occur in reverse, because the first and second passes would be in reverse to get out of the driveway... then, the rest would be in a forward gear... so, our testing method was skewing the results to some degree...
i'm just glad its done... we worked on it for hours... and i'm sick as a dog...
anyway, if anyone experiences an odd fuse blow out due to the clutch assembly eating through the insulation of a wire to ground it out, hopefully this silly thread helps them save a lot of time...
