68modstang said:Going to dig into the mess today. Bought a new stoplight switch, figured even if it was good it's been in there for 36 years and could use some time off. The switch was connected and I need to put my meter on the switch to rule that out. Thanks for the input.

You should also make sure that ALL of the bulbs in your entire lighting/turn signal system are good and not blown.
