Brake Pad?

My 2008 GT has just started a rather nasty brake squeal, sounds like it is coming from the rear. The squeal occurs just about every time I brake. The car has just a bit over 20K on it. Have any of you experienced this, and if so how did you fix it? New pads? If you changed pads, which ones did you switch to? Oh yeah, my car is a DD.

Wow, pads gone in only 20K miles? Do you push it pretty hard?
When My rear pads wore down, I just went with factory GT pads. When it comes time again, I will probably go front & rear with Hawk Performance Ceramic pads. When I replaced the rear pads (most people report the rears go first), I also replaced the rear rotors with Centric rotors from Tire Rack. Will do the same on the fronts when time comes.

Factory GT pads are a good choice, also Wagner Thermo Quiet, Centric 105 series, The squeal is most likely coming from glazed or burned rotor, if they're thick enough then you should have them resurfaced, if not then replaced.

An '08 could still be covered by the 3 yr/36 oem warranty. Unless you're out of the warranty period, I would just take it back to the dealer to fix it.
