I'm bout to run up and pick up some pads, Wondering about bleeding the brakes.
If I compress the calipers correctly(front and rear), will I need to bleed the brakes from the valve also?

I appreciate the help.

No need to bleed the brakes. You can if you want to, but if all you are doing is changing pads, there is no need.

For the front brakes, simply compress the pistons, replace the pads and put them back on the car. Pump the brakes hard a few times to seat the pads and you should be good to go.

For the rear, you can't compress the piston. The parking brake is integrated so you need a tool to screw the rear piston in. That is the only want to compress is. WHen you are done compressing it, make sure the notches in the piston are at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and then replace the pad and put the caliper back on. Press the brakes hard and should be all set.

On the front brakes??

There are two bolts on the backside. They are 12mm i beleive. Unscrew those to take the caliper off. If they spin, hold the sleeve in place with vicegrips.

What?

Just pull the E-clip and washer off of the front na dthe pin pull sright out. NO bolts come out.

The rear you remove the two bolts and pull the calipers off. The sliders for the rear just pull out then so you can clean and regrease them.

That's for Cobra/Mach1/Bullitt 13" brakes.

For regular GT's you gotta unbolt the caliper.

Oops, sorry.

I've done about 5 on Bullitt's, cobras etc in the last week and jumped the gun a little.
