Hey all.... I have an 88 Saleen with about 35000 miles on it, and most everything is original. That includes the braking system. I am wanting to replace most everything in the braking system and was hoping someone could provide some opinion on what brands to go with.

I am going to replace the pads, rotors, calipers and switch to the braided stainless steel brake hoses. It's a Saleen, so that means it has the 86 SVO brakes. I don't need anything hardcore, just something nice and streetable.

Does anyone know anything about the SSBC brakes? They have a rotor/pad kit for about $340, but I don't know anything about that brand.

Thanks for any help!

Do you plan on staying 4 lug or swapping to 5 lug?

The pbr setup is pretty good. Easy to find, cheap and do a pretty good job. That's what I had on my old car and ill be putting them on the car I have now.

Just do new pads, rotors, bleed the brakes well and maybe upgrade to stainless steel lines front and rear. Should be good enough.

Ad for which pads and rotors, there are opinions everywhere on these. Just stay away from the gimmick Swiss cheese rotors
