This is the forth time my rotors having warped in the past 7k miles. The first time I had the rotors turned and I installed new brake pads. The second time Ford replaced the pads and turned the rotors. Third time ford replaced the rotors. Now there warped again. Keep in mind I have a Bullitt with twin piston calipers and 13" rotors. Any ideas what might be causing the problem. I drive the car like its a mustang but I don't hammer the brakes down all that often. Most of my driving is interstate. Thanks for any suggestions.

How often do you brake hard? Also, do you drive through water after braking hard? Don't laugh, but when I was 17, I drove my Dodge Spirit like it was a Mustang, and I braked hard once (or many times) too often and my rotors were actually cracked in many places. I was told that it was because of the rapid heating/cooling upon braking hard and entering water. Are they replacing the brakes under warranty?

sounds like the dealer overtightened the wheel lug nuts this would warp the rotors. 95-100 ft pounds for wheel lugs

Agree with this. Also improper bleeding of the calipers can cause one piston to apply more pressure than the other inevitably warping the rotor.

Go to any brake shop and they will all tell you Ford rotors suck! They don't have as much metal as they used too, made from cheaper cast iron...junk. My 1988 went 188,000 miles before the first brake job... my 2000GT with 70,000 easy miles has been through 3 sets of front rotors!

You need to translate that to Ford-Gorilla-Technician terms...

IE, crank up the power on the impact gun and hammer away for 25 seconds

how do you know when your rotors are warped, steering wheel shakes when braking? Is a warped rotor a big problem, or just an annoyance that is ok to not fix?

Trust the Midas touch!!

Seriously though, get yourself some Cobra/Bullitt brakes! You'll never have this problem again.

Your brake pedal will pulse when you apply the brake.
