I've been having some issues with my upgrade. As shown in sig I have an 88 tbird turbo coupe w/302. I've installed a big brake kit from wilwood. Also used a wilwood proprtioning valve, new 88 mustang M/C and new 88 mustang brake booster. I seem to have a bit of a soft pedal in the beginning and have to push really hard to get the car to stop towards the bottom of the travel. I have bled the car many times, some manually and some with the brake bleeder from snap on. Ya know the one that connects to the M/C reservoir and pressurizes the entrie brake system, then you just open the bleeders.. I know that the wilwood calipers have bleeders on the top and bottom of each caliper. Any reccomendations for me would be appreciated.

You need a different master cylinder for the 4 wheel discs. I would call Willwood and ask them what they reccomend. The stock MC does not have enough to operate the bigger calipers.

Do you think the booster I have is ok though ?? You think a 94+ M/C will work??

Thanks
Steve

The 94+ master cylinder will work on the 73mm calipers and t-bird rear I know. But as far as your setup they may be larger pistons and may require more MC. You will prolly have to use a different brake booster also. Try doing a search on here to see what you come up with.

Well i did a search and found one guy with the wilwood kit, although i think he had the drag kit, mine is not. Anyway he said he used a M/C from a 86 lincoln Mark VII, and it worked great.. He went through 3 different M/C's before finding the right one... Aynone else got input to this ?? I really want to take full advantage of my upgrade..

I have a complete Wilwood kit on my car...I'm using the 93 Cobra m/c and booster with a 3-2 port conversion thanks to Matt.

Unfortunately, I've just added the booster and haven't gotten it on the road yet so I don't know what it feels like.

I previously was running the stock booster with the 93 Cobra m/c and the peddle was hard...it felt almost like you had to put put both feet on the brake to make it stop so after much searching it seems that the 93 Cobra booster is supposed to be the fix...also it's really fun to put in :D

What is the 3-2 port conversion you are referring to?
