Well it really wasn't in my plans a the moment, but I know someone that has a 04 cobra that he is parting out. From reading the 2 brake wesites I think I know what to get, but can someone confirm my list.

I don't plan on using the rotors, but getting new ones instead, and I also take it that these are the same as PBR calipers? I was going to get some Wilwood calipers, but this deal came along. Do you think there is a big difference between a name brand ( Wilwood, Brembo) calipers and the cobras?

Here is the list if anyone could confirm, or tell me what I am forgetting.

Calipers
Brake lines hard lines rear. Will get new SS for front
I will be getting new drilled and zinc plated rotors later.
Brackets?
Anti Moan brackets?

I just need to know what to pull off the 04, I know that I need other items, such as spindles and things, but that will come later, just want to get the stuff off the cobra while I can.

Well the Rear is IRS, so unless you can grab the entire IRS which would be sweet, all you can take are the calipers really.

But purchase the M2300-M kit from buyfordracing.com for $175 and you would have the entire rear kit minus 94-98 axles.

Up front, you want the rotors, calipers, spindles and brake lines. The rotors are Brembo rotors, so look into cutting them at least.

The calipers are made by PBR. They are a great brand. These are the same calipers used by Baer and OEM calipers on the corvette for some years. Don't worry about quality with them.

You will also need a ;93 Cobra MC and booster and prop valve kit

So since the 04 has IRS, it won't have the anti-moan brackets and things and I would need to get those from an a 94-95 or get the kit?

I like that kit, but I will be need to get better rotors, as I am building a show car and just don't like the look of the plain Jane rotors. So really I just need to pull the calipers and that is it, both front and rear from the 04 cobra and the brake line from the front? I don't want the spindles as I already have a set of 95s in the shop and I don't want the extra width increase with the newer spindles.

Nothing else is usable in the rear. Calipers only. The kit is $175 and comes with rotors, axle brackets, anti-moans, dust shields and hardware. If you price it out separately it will cost more. PLUS, you could always sell the rotors. The rotors sell for $100/pair new.

Other than the kit and the calipers, you'd need axles and the 94-95 brake soft lines. Click on the link in my sig to see what they look like. You can't use the cobra lines as the mount to the body.

Up front, if the guy is willing to sell the spindles cheaply, i'd still get them. There are more and more people moving to 96+ spindles as the geometry is better and since S197 offset wheels are move available, you can compensate for the extra offset easily. You can sell off the spindles for $100+/pair. Of course if the guy wants more money for them than you can make back...i'd pass.

I am looking for a set actually to replace my 94-95 spindles.
