Damn, been awhile since I've been in here! Anyway, I have a question.

My damn brakes dont work worth a $hit! We have bled them and all that jazz and they still suck. It seems to be getting worse. They are hard as hell to push down and takes forever to slow to a stop. Dangerous! BAD! Anyway, what gives? Booster, master cylinder, what is wrong? Will the booster & MC swap from a 5.0 or are they different?

you see any leaks anywhere? have you had someone push the brakes while you physically look at the pistons on the front discs and watch the rear drums?? might have a stuck piston or two. also check the soft lines to see if they are bulging.

you might have glazed the pads too if you are a brake rider or hard braker.

did you check the condition of the large vacuum hose going to the brake booster? might be rotted and have a hole in it. spray along it with the engine running with some starting fluid and see if the engine surges.

If they are hard to push, it sounds like the booster is shot. Not too hard to replace.

Got it. I was messing with it today and noticed a BUNCH of my vacume hoses were UNHOOKED. Like someone pulled them loose! Anyway, that fixed damn near everything wrong with the car. lol
