I jsut bought a 91 mustang coupe. I already have 98 cobra calipers and disks for all 4 wheels.

Without replacing the entire rear end, what exactly do i need to fit these calipers and rotors to my fox?

My goal is to run stock ford mustang 05 polished 18" wheels on my 91.

Thanks

Chris

i believe for the 05 wheels youll want rear axles from a 94-98 stang (with the cobra caliper brackets, but axles are the same in all models) along with 96-04 spindles for the front. most people who go with the 94-04 bullits use 94-95 spindles with ranger axles and either a special aftermarket caliper bracket or just stick with rear drums (like im going to). since youre going with big brakes, youll also want to have a bigger master cylinder (maybe a bigger booster too, up to you), and you will definetly need a new proportioning valve when you swap to read discs.

theres a few sites out there with all the 5lug swap stuff, this is probably one of the better ones: http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/5lug.html

Even with the '96 spindles, the 18" 05+ wheels hit the strut up front. Spacers will be needed, but then the wheel will stick out and look weird.

You are gonna want a full SN95 conversion with the SN95 axles out back (added 0.75" each side) and 96+ spindles up front. You are gonna need a lot more parts other than the disks and calipers to do this.

It would take too long to type, so you are gonna have to study this website very well

When I put the 96-up Cobra calipers on my 95 GT,....the brakes SUCKED. I sold another set to a guy with a 97 and he called me and told me they SUCKED also. I would watch out using these calipers.

I would go with the 99+PBR's...I have them on my notch.

You mean GT/V6 calipers right??

Because I have '98 Cobra calipers on my Fox and it brakes awesome!!

I also upgraded my '03 GT's PBR calipers to the 13" Mach 1 versions and that was a HUGE step up in performance. The GT PBR's were great and all, but the 13" brakes are just so much better in feel and actual performance

Yep the crappy V6/GT 96-98 Calipers are horrible.
