Brakestand wheel hop - (Vid Soon)

I use the heel-toe method, but switched.

I put my left heel on my clutch and left toes on the brake, with my right foot solely on the gas. I hold in the brake and clutch, gas it to around 4k, then quickly slide my heel off my clutch. I personally find that I have better control of my revs with my right foot alone to control the gas.

No, no, no ... y'all have it wrong. What you really want to do is put a giant clown shoe on one foot, so you can push on the clutch with your left heel and the gas with your left toes, and then use a cane to push on the brake with your left hand while shifting with your right. At least, that's how I've always done it... :D

I've always just used the left foot for the brake and the clutch, except not simultaneously. Rev it, dump it, and stomp on the brake just enough to keep from rolling forward. There should be plenty of torque on hand to overpower the rear drums and hopefully not enough traction available to override the grip of the front tires - if not, back up into the waterbox again and try once more.

Oh, and it's always good to carry a cooler full of half-melted ice in the back of your car, in case you want to start having an impromptu burnout contest somewhere. That seems to have been the trend at the past few Hooters get-togethers on the WFC weekends, back when they were in St. Louis... :nice:
