i say someone come up with convincing evidence that says that an engine driven hard from it being new had a part in engine life or failure. i think its good to wail on it and then change the oil at around 1 thousand miles. then continue to drive it hard to 3 k. then change it and run synthetic every 5k for the rest of the engine.
NOT!! BOOST 101: Boost is boost no matter where it comes from, a turbo will produce more HP because it's relatively free boost by coming from exhaust rather than a drive pulley which robs some of the engine power to spin it. It also has no limitation on RPM's and can boost like mad when it really going. It produces more high RPM HP because it takes exhaust to spin the turbo, more exhaust = more spin etc. Thus the term Turbo lag.
